Dekton worktops

Dekton sintered stone worktops.

An ultra-compact surface made under extreme heat and pressure, so it shrugs off hot pans, scratches, stains and sunlight.

Dekton worktops

The toughest worktop we fit.

Dekton is made by Cosentino from a blend of minerals fused under extreme heat and pressure. The result is an ultra-compact, non-porous surface that resists heat, scratches, stains and UV light.

Because it is so resistant, Dekton suits busy family kitchens, islands with a hob, and outdoor kitchens where sunlight would fade other surfaces. It is also used for splashbacks, cladding and furniture.

Dekton is hard to cut and needs specialist fabrication. We template on site once your units are fitted, then the slabs are cut and finished to suit your kitchen.

Good to know

Worth checking before you decide.

Edges need care

Dekton is very hard but can chip on the edge if struck by a heavy pan. We recommend edge profiles that reduce the risk.

Specialist fabrication

It needs specialist tools to cut and finish, which is why templating and fabrication are planned carefully.

Easy cleaning

Warm water and a mild detergent are enough day to day. No sealing is needed.

What is Dekton made of?

Dekton is an ultra-compact surface made by Cosentino from a blend of minerals fused under extreme heat and pressure.

Can you put hot pans on Dekton?

Dekton is highly heat resistant and handles hot pans far better than quartz. We still suggest a trivet for very hot cast iron as good practice.

Dekton or quartz: which is better?

Dekton is more resistant to heat, scratches and UV light, and works outdoors. Quartz has a softer feel and a wider range of classic looks. We can show you both at the showroom.

Can Dekton be used outdoors?

Yes. Dekton is UV stable, so it is suitable for outdoor kitchens and barbecue areas.
