Marble-effect media wall with a television above a slim linear fireplace

Bespoke media walls

Media walls built around your room.

A television, a fire, storage and lighting planned as one piece of joinery, with every cable hidden and every finish matched to the rest of your home.

Media walls

One calm wall instead of a tangle of furniture.

A media wall replaces a TV stand, a sideboard and a nest of cables with a single built-in design. The screen sits where it is comfortable to watch, the equipment is hidden but ventilated, and the wall becomes the focal point of the room.

We design each wall to the room: around chimney breasts, alcoves and windows, at a height that suits your sofa, and in finishes that echo your kitchen or flooring. Popular choices include slatted timber, fluted panels, painted joinery and stone-effect surrounds.

If you want a fire, we build it in from the start. Electric fires from British Fires and bioethanol fires from Planika can sit below or beside the screen, installed to each maker’s clearance instructions.

Good to know

Worth checking before you decide.

Plan it before decorating

Power and cable routes are easiest to add before walls are plastered or painted, so talk to us early if you are renovating.

Measure your screen

Tell us the exact screen size, or the size you plan to buy, so the recess and viewing height are right.

Fires need clearances

Each fire maker sets minimum distances to the screen and to timber. We design around them rather than after the fact.

What is a media wall?

A media wall is a built-in wall of joinery that holds a television, often a fire, and storage and shelving in one design, with the cables hidden behind it.

Can you put a fire below the TV?

Yes. We use electric fires from British Fires and bioethanol fires from Planika, and install them with the clearances each maker specifies so the screen and joinery stay at a safe temperature.

How do you hide the cables?

We plan socket, aerial and network positions behind the screen and build cable routes into the joinery, so equipment connects out of sight.

How much does a media wall cost?

It depends on the size, the finishes and whether you add a fire. We price each wall after a design consultation, so you know exactly what is included.
